Dear friends:
Well, almost two years in Seville, but still so many places to discover! I think that this is a true testimony of the incredible diversity of Spain and especially Andalucía. Or Spanish people use a wonderful word to describe the grounds of this richness: ‘la tierra de Andalucía’…the soil of Andalucía.
Well, one of these places, which we have not seen until now is Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a one and a half hours drive from Seville. It is situated on the coast, famous for the ‘marisco’ (sea food) but especiallzyknown for ‘La manzanilla’, which is a local Sherry wine, which is produced only in this area. Tastes well especially also with tapas. It is a city, which had a great fortune and the old parts are still well maintained and offer a great scenery for a relaxed walk through the center, but also to the very close beaches. Well, we first got to know the center with its small streets and markets and then had a great lunch and to get our kids really tired for the drive home, we went to the beach, where the enjoyed playing with the sand. What a great day!
