Dear friends,
Last Sunday we enjoyed a nice morning at the beaches of Punta Umbrilla (which is close to the Portugese border) with our chilean friends and their boys. Mauro is always enjoying a lot getting together with Pedro: they run around, get accidently wet (as the sea still is quite cold, we did not take the swimsuits) with us and of course laugh a lot. Well, and our adventurer Til: he explores the beaches….as you can see on the attached picture.
Well, friends, take care, lots of love

Dear friends
You might have read the blog entry of the Romería, well for the second time we went last Sunday to the famous target of this pilgrimage journey: el Rocío. A colleague of work invited us to visit with him the place: our favourite way of traveling - exploring places with the local experts
A part of visiting this ‘Wild west’ looking village (sandy roads, in front of all house the bars for attaching the horse) we participated in the local ceremonys of some hermandades, who have been in Rocío these days. From October to May, there are every Sunday church services, for each of these hermandades. As our colleague knew other local people, we went to some some of the local village houses, where we got invited to eat and drink and enjoy ourselves with the friendly people, we met a there.
Rocío - a cultural treasure, which is still very lively!

Dear friends
Well, there might be a lot of diferences between life in Switzerland and South Spain, but there also a lof of things in common: for example the carneval. It is of special importance in Cádiz, where thousands of peoploe celebrate this cultural event…of coursse dressed up as whatever you might think of. Here in Sevilla, it is not a big event, although kids celebrate it in their daycare and schools. So, of course, Mauro also participated in the carneval competition of his children playgroup and for that Nadine made a very nice lion costum, well he is born in the star sign ‘lion’

As already mentioned in Switzerland it is also an important thing, as you can see on the attached picture of the Schneider family, friends in Switzerland:

Yours
