Dear friends!

We all hope that you have had a relaxing christmas holiday and a pleasant start in 2009, surrounded by familiy or friends…and hopefully some fine drinks

We have been back in Switzerland, where we spent a lot of time with our families and friends. As it has not only been for one week, we also took some day ‘off’, meaning just our litte family spent some days in Berne, the Swiss capital. Well, quite a nice feeling being in your home country like a tourist! Nadine knows Berne perfectly from her years at university, so we did some ‘insider’-sightseeing, a lot of walking, and spent almost a day in the ‘Tierpark Dählhölzli’, Berne’s zoo, which impressed us a lot, especially in this unique winter atmosphere. By the way, we had good luck with snow: it snowed twice during our holiday, which we enjoyed a lot. We had the pleasure to stay again at Nadine’s parents, where for example Mauro went into a bakery workshop with his grandmother….well, never to early to learn some cool stuf from grandma!

We came back to Sevilla on the 3rd of January, just in time for the ‘Reyes’. The 6th of January is being celebrated here especially, which parades and the handing over of the presents to the children. Again a great experience, especially being embedded here with local families, who involved us in the traditions of this special day.

Well, getting back into daily routine has cost us this time somewhat more energy, maybe part of living abroad But our friends here welcomed us very warmly, and now we are as a familiy again fully in our lively familiy project…well, it never gets boring with our boys
