Well, we all hope that you have a good start in the last month of 2008! As you can see we have just opened our christmas cookies factory and Mauro is working hard to produce all the sweet stars, angels, christmas trees, bells, etc.

Enjoy the upcoming christmas atmosphere with familiy and friends and hopefully do not get to stressed in all the shopping malls

Dear friends,

On advice of a good colleague we went to see a well-know natural animal reserve in the Sierra the Aracena. Well, what a great pleasure. As lovers of nature and animals we enjoyed this reserve a lot, especially, because the huge variety of animals really have a lot of space to move, get close to people but also have enough space for themselves. It seems to be a trend in modern zoos to increasingly mix different kind of animals together in the same space, which seems to be good for them. This practice is also being applied a lot in this animal reserve. As our good friend Franzi with her son Micha came recently to Sevilla, we went already a second time there. As well the natural landscape of the ‘Sierra the Aracena’ is just wonderful, the quieteness of the nature, the trees and of course the great food from this area make it unique for us.

Our conclusion: Reserva Castilla de la Guarda is really a treasure!

Interestingly, Halloween is being celebrated quite a bit here in Spain, which is especially nice for the children, as you can see in the attached photo gallery: http://www.von-wartburg.ch/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/fgallery/fim_photos.php?album=halloween.

We had a great Sunday afternoon in the ‘Parque del alamillo’ with the Halloween party of the ‘American Women’s Club’, where we met some interesting new people as well. They organized a lot of activities for the children, where children of all ages participated.

 As well in our residential area many children dressed up as witches, ghosts, etc. - of course - eagarly asking for the sweets ;-) On Halloween night we went with En and Paco for a fun ’adults’ night to Sevilla and saw a lot of adult people dressed up for all kind of Halloween partys….quite funny to watch.
