Best friend’s wedding!

Published by admin under Uncategorized

Dear friends!

Well, as the world economic is getting more depressive every week, although central banks and government are trying everything to stabilize financial and credit markets, we could now outline our personal opinion for pages. To be honest - is is quite worrying us and this crisis will influence the upcoming year for sure! For all interested in a strong anlytical voice withouth forgetting its liberal roots the English magazine ‘The Economist’ (www.economist.com) is recommended: a clear voice in a sea of particular opinions and news hungry headlines.

As the intention of this blog is pure private, we keep our focus on sharing highlights of our family adventures, wherever we are ;-) This time we are proudly anouncing: Hakan has married Funda one week ago in Switzerland. As being invited as ‘best man’ together with L-Viz (sorry Mättu…) it was a a pleasure for us to return for this joyful event to Switzerland, where we stayed again with Nadine’s parents.

What a wedding: Please find the pictures in the following gallery: http://www.von-wartburg.ch/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/fgallery/fim_photos.php?album=hakan-and-funda

Dear friends

Without a big comment:  just great to relax with taking a close-up picture, focusing on all the details, that we usually do not look at during a busy day!

Treasures in an Andalucian Village - Lebrija

Published by admin under Uncategorized

Dear friends,

Recently on a late Sunday afternoon we decided to head to the Jerez area, which is very well known for its liquor products: brandy, sherry and - of course - red wine! But as we have already visited Jerez once, we went to this small village, which was really worthwile to travel to. Lebrija is situated on a hill, which gives the visual control of the area. This was of special importance to control the area and be prepared for defensing the village. In history a lot of different local tribes came by this area…..

We did a lot of walking there, enjoyed the wonderful view and - as it has to be - got a wonderful ice-cream…chocolate of course ;-)

 Take care!
