 Well, we have just been part of sports history here in Spain: After 44 years Spain has won again the ‘Eurocopa 2008′ in Switzerland/Austria! It was interesting for us to see that people have been quite pessimistic about their team, based on the experience of the last 24 years. And now what a surprise: great football, a good team spirit and Spain is winner! Dear friends

As our little son Til is getting to know his environment, our familiy live is (although some nights have been harder….) slowly but surely finding its way to a new ‘routine’ of taking care of now two young boys. Mauro is getting along well with Til so far and it is very cute to watch him exploring his younger brother! As we are now also getting again more room to explore our new area, we just had a first night out at the ‘Costa de la luz’. It was a great trip and we all enjoyed our first family ‘mini break’ as four of us. Then a highlight has also Rocío been: in these days a small, but beautiful village with a wonderful cathedral, but preparing for the ‘Romería de Rocío’, where about a million people will come to this village to worship ‘Rocío’ and celebrate as well! Dear friends!

Thank you for your congratulations by Email and phone for our little Til! The ‘family crowd’ is now settling in after the first days in hospital and arriving at home. Til has started to explore his new home by watching and looking at all the people that are talking to him. We had in the first days the wonderful help of Aenny and Alex and after they have left the godmother of Til, Maja, is currently with us. Great help, but also an enriching time to talk about all the things, that keep us busy

The week before Easter is always very special here in Seville, it is the week of the ’semana santa’. Everyday a lot of religious processions take place in the several districts of Sevilla, where very old associations carry an altar with wooden statues of Jesus Christ or Maria through the city to the main cathedral in the center of Sevilla. This processions is accompanied by very interesting classical brass-music (’marchas’) and hundreds of ‘ Nazarenos’, which are dressed up mainly in black or white.
